Pastor John Shane

John Shane was raised in a non-Christian abusive environment. He is a child of a bigamist alcoholic father and a teenage mother. John was deserted by his father before birth and raised by an abusive alcoholic stepfather. He was told he would never amount to anything. John learned how to hate with great hatred at a young age.

John got radically saved when he was 34 and God instantly turned great hatred into great love. He and his wife have worked with hard-core young people and have had 58 foster children in their home over the years.

John and Evelyn have three natural children and one adopted Russian child. They have Pastored four churches and now serve as Evangelist with a ministry to help hurting families and children; a ministry of restoration and reconciliation for the hurting.

John was greatly impacted by a missions trip to Poland in 1984 and later on missions trips to Russia. New Hope Outreach Ministries grew out of seeing the great needs in the Eastern block countries. NHOM brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to orphans and widows where the needs are often desperate. They also provide Bibles, medicines, vitamins, toys, clothes, and love to the children they minister to.

John and Evelyn feel very blessed by God's grace in the privilege to touch the lives of so many children and widows in need.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the
Fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
(James 1:27)

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself", you do well.
 (James 2:8)

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
(Matthew 25:40)
